Driving Licenses in NeemuchUnfortunately, getting a driver’s license is not as straightforward as getting a pan card or Aadhar Card. As there are way too many formalities and rules & regulations involved. First and foremost rule is that applicant has to first apply for learner’s driving license before applying for permanent driving license. Learners driving license gives the applicant right to learn driving under the guidance of expertise. There are certain rules though with regards to age while issuing learner’s license. Applicant has to be at least 18 years and more than that if he/she wishes to apply for learner’s license for motor cars and minimum 20 years in the case of passenger/goods cars (trucks, auto rick shaws, buses).
For issuance of forms, applicant will have to login to https://www.mptransport.org/# and download the following forms from the site: Form 1, Form 1A (Medical Certificates signed by any M.B.B.S. doctor) and Form 2. Applicant has to obviously fill this form and submit it to nearest RTO office or licensed RTO agent along with prescribed fees (Rs 30) and three recent pass port size photographs. Besides, applicant obviously also has to submit few important identity proof documents, which are as follows:
Address proof (Xerox copies of anyone of the following): passport, electricity/telephone bill & House Tax Receipt Pay slip issued by any office in the Central Government or a local body.
Age Proof (Xerox copies of anyone of the following): Birth certificate, address proof or Pan Card.
However, applicant has to fulfill another very important criteria for getting learners license. He or she to pass a very simple written test. The test mainly deals with basic traffic laws and regulations and all the questions – as mentioned earlier – are very simple. Only those candidates who pass this test are issued learner’s license. And to tell you more about it, more than 90% of applicants are able to pass this test and eventually get the learners license.
Learner’s license is valid only for 6 months. Therefore learner license holder has to learn driving within the span of 6 months. But he or she has to learn only under the guidance of an expertise, preferably by a professional driving instructor. And after successfully learning driving, he or she then will have to appear for a practical driving test. The test obvious happens under the supervision of RTO official, whose duty is to check whether concerned applicant knows all the nuisances of practical driving or not. If RTO official is completely satisfied with applicant’s driving skills, then driving license is all but assured. However, for successful issuance of permanent license, applicant this time has to submit Form no 4. Form no 4 can be directly availed from RTO office or download from https://www.mptransport.org/#. Besides, applicant also has to pay a very minimal fee.
